Over 80% of respondents were very positive about the  range of facilities provided for young children. The  sports facilities at Poplars Sports Ground were  considered a great asset and were well used, and clubs  like the Brownies and Scouts were very popular. Many  appreciate the Roberts Recreation Ground and welcome  its refurbishment.  However, there was overwhelming dissatisfaction  expressed about the inadequacy of non-sporting  facilities for teenagers [85% of respondents expressed  concern.] A number suggested that a youth centre/club  would not only provide somewhere for teenagers to  meet, but would also lead to a reduction in young  people gathering in the village centre.
