Over 80% of respondents were very positive about the range of facilities provided for young children. The sports facilities at Poplars Sports Ground were considered a great asset and were well used, and clubs like the Brownies and Scouts were very popular. Many appreciate the Roberts Recreation Ground and welcome its refurbishment. However, there was overwhelming dissatisfaction expressed about the inadequacy of non-sporting facilities for teenagers [85% of respondents expressed concern.] A number suggested that a youth centre/club would not only provide somewhere for teenagers to meet, but would also lead to a reduction in young people gathering in the village centre.
